In celebration of my makeup today going near on perfect, I decided to share my face with you! I finally got hold of my favourite every day falsies last week and I wore a lipstick that I've had a while but never worn. For once, the weather was hot, so I wore my summer face - which doesn't actually include foundation!

To start with, I moisturised with Boots Tea Tree and Witch Hazel Night Gel. (Yes, a night gel! See my previous post for why I use this.) And then I primed with the oh-so-famous Nivea For Men Post-Shave Balm. I normally have to work quickly after using this as a primer though because when I apply foundation after it has settled, the foundation tends to flake and become very dry.
As it is "summer" here in England, I do have a go-to face makeup to make sure I don't feel cakey or uncomfortable when my skin gets hot. Being a ginger, I am basically allergic to the sun. I have tried many BB creams without success, so I moved on to try a CC cream. Bourjois 123 Perfect Colour Correcting Cream was the first one I tried, roughly a year ago, and I've never looked back. It gives me perfect coverage while still allowing my skin to breath. I use the BeautyBlender dupe Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge On top, I used my holy grail Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer and I blend that in with Spectrum Collections Unicorn Tears Wonder Sponge. I use a big powder brush to buff Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder into my face. Lastly, I use an array of brushes for contouring, but my usual is Makeup Revolution Pro F105 Contour Brush.

I could spend hours doing my eyebrows. They don't match and are pretty haywire, but they have a good overall natural shape. My current favourite eyebrow routine includes filling and shaping using Rimmel Professional Eyebrow Pencil in Hazel 2 and then using a small liner brush and powder from MUA Brow Kit in Fair/Mid. Next, I use an eyeshadow close to my skin tone just to even out the skin of my eyelids. Now, I don't normally go for brands I don't know or haven't used before - but after my blog post about the Poundland's own makeup range, their liquid liner has been my go to for every day. It goes on so easily and has such a fine nib, I can always get a sharp line - granted, it doesn't have great staying power, which is why I always use a setting spray to make it last all day. As for my lashes, I don't have the best. Which is why I love falsies, especially Eylure Lengthening 114 Lashes which is a Cheryl Cole x Eylure collaboration. I love how lengthening and natural looking they are. Today, I used Benefit BADgal Lash Mascara. Last but not least, the lipstick. How gorgeous is this lipstick?! It is Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet lipstick in Peach Club. I will most likely be doing a review on this lipstick soon so stay tuned! I spritz my face with NYX Make up setting spray - matte finish/long lasting and I'm done!

Here is the finished look -

What do you think? Could I make any improvements? Do you have any tips or suggestions on this makeup look?
