BIRCHBOX NOVEMBER 2016

Hello beauties.
This months Birchbox was a collaboration with the popular glossy magazine, Tatler. Tatler's idea for this box was to offer essential products for the upcoming party season. Which entails keeping that perfect colour lippy on, rehydrating and de-puffing our skin and of course, getting that golden glow.

SPEAK TO TATLER LIVE

Tatler have a Facebook Live upcoming, on Wednesday 16th November at 1pm GMT, which Tatler's Health and Beauty Director Francesca White will be hosting on Birchbox's Facebook page. She will be available to answer your make-up and beauty related questions and also to give you the best products to get you ready for the party season.

NOVEMBERS PRODUCTS

First things first, I do not understand the can of water. Maybe it's because I've never indulged in the face mists or refreshing sprays, but I don't get it. I was immediately drawn to the OCC lip primer and was excited to try it. Not only is it a primer, but it has a lovely peppermint smell and really helps to remove any dead skin. I used it underneath a dark red lipstick which is normally quite patchy and bleeds a little, but I did notice a difference with this primer underneath. I have also used the anti-fatigue moisturiser and the protect & detangle leave in conditioner. I liked both of the products and the leave in conditioner did help to detangle to my hair a little better than usual, but then again, I was rushing and perhaps didn't apply it thoroughly enough. I think it has potential though. The moisturiser I didn't feel was quite soothing enough, and didn't leave my skin feel as hydrated and soft as a moisturiser should. However, I did use another moisturiser underneath as I forgot I wanted to try this out, so I slapped it on top. So I will definitely try it out again. I don't usually get on with BB creams as they've all come up too dark for me. I tested this one against my hand and it applies nicely but is too dark. It lightens up when it's blended in, but it's not for me as I am way too pale for any sort of golden glow.
