MAKEUP REVOLUTION FORTUNE FAVOURS THE BRAVE PALETTE REVIEW
THE REVEAL
I will be honest, I hadn't heard of Jane Cunningham (BritishBeautyBlogger) before I heard of this palette. However, with Makeup Revolution being my favourite makeup brand, and after viewing Jane's wonderful blog, I knew the palette was going to be a big hit. I also knew I had to have the palette ASAP!
THE OPENING
The appearance of the palette looked even better than photos. It's like holding a bar of gold.
See? You can see why I felt like royalty. Right? I could not wait to get into the palette and see the colours for myself. Even though Jane's own swatches were amazing, I get so impatient when I know I have new makeup waiting for me to try. When I got into the palette I was immediately (and not surprisingly) drawn to the purples and blues. I found the greens quite interesting and they're in shades I am not used to playing around with, they remind me of camo so I am excited to see what I can do with them. Even though there are nude and pink shades in here, even they are more versatile than I imagined. And let's not forget the look of the amazing glimmer shadows, the pigments look incredible!
THE FIRST MAKEUP LOOK
Here are two pictures of the finished first makeup look I done using this palette!
Firstly, as MUCH as I was tempted to do yet another purple eye look, I decided to first of see if I could use this palette as an everyday makeup go-to, as well as using it for my night out looks (yes, the purples..).
I was majorly impressed with the blending these shadows, as well as how well they mix together! I used Buffer along the crease, then Peachy on top of Buffer and using my Makeup Revolution blending brush, blended Peachy upwards, It created this really peachy, smoothie looking colour, I couldn't stop staring at it! I think Pink Diamond or Favour would look great and girly with this. However I really am not a pink sparkly girl, so I went for Latte on the lid, with Golden Coins on the top. I was impressed with how buildable the glimmers are. It looked great with one or two layers of Golden Coins on top of the Latte, but I do like a lot of shimmer from shadows from these, so I layered it up. As I said, I'm not a pink sparkly kind of girl, but I did use one of the pink glimmers to see if the colour was as amazing on the skin as on the palette. I used Favour along my bottom lid, I was disappointed it wasn't as striking as in the palette, but I was surprised to see I actually loved it.
Now, I have been dying to share this blog post and these photos with you all. Just so you can see how fantastic Ice Cloud is as a highlighter and inner corner colour. I didn't quite have the right lighting in the first photo so just take note from the second photo. I do normally tend to go for gold highlighters for my under brow highlight, so I tried a silver/white toned this time. This is most definitely the BEST icy shadow I have ever used. I wasn't that shocked it has come from MUR, because of their amazing highlighters. It is most definitely my new go-to highlighter and inner corner colour.
So, that's my first blog post done! I really hope you enjoyed it and I am so looking forward to sharing my knowledge, opinions and thoughts with you all!
